Most manual meat grinder  manufacturers specify to not use a dishwasher on their products. Hand grinders take more work. If you are in a hurry or have more than a few pounds of meat to grinder, then an electric meat grinder is our recommendation. No matter what model of grinder you choose, do not attempt to grind bones. This causes far too much pressure on your hands, causes the blades to chip and the grinding plates will clog and lose their ability to function. Hand dry your grinder with a cotton or terry towel after washing. We carry grinders that come with sausage stuffers, different blades and grinding plates. We also carry accessory kits and parts for several different grinder models and manufacturers.  We carry five (5) Stainless Steel Grinder models and one Chrome model.

Meat grinders make quick work of your meat processing needs. Look for grinders that come with the attachments for stuffing sausage along with an extra plate. Also, look at the limited warranty from date of purchase for repair or replacement. These manual meat grinders are priced to sell with the quality that a person is looking for.  Your family be as happy as those pictured here eating fresh meat using a grinder product from Meat Grinders Now.

Aside from being incredibly convenient, economically advantageous and healthier, grinding game and other meats with a meat grinder at home is also safer. In 2011, millions of pounds of ground meat were recalled due to potential health hazards such as E. coli contamination. Unsanitary food results in about 5,000 deaths each year. Grinding the meat at home ensures the meat stays fresh and sanitary. Additionally, commercial machines use such great force that the meat’s juices are squeezed out of the meat, causing it to lose its flavor. After a successful hunt, this is the last thing that any hunter wants. Home grinders allow the meat to retain the juices, enhancing the game meat's flavor.

Cleaning and storing the Grinder:
It is very important to completely strip the grinder and wash it and all the parts meticulously after grinding meat. A bottle-brush works well with manual grinders (Hand Grinders). After rinsing and hand drying, I recommend spraying the cutting plate and knife lightly with cooking spray to prevent them from rusting. Use regular vegetable oil if you do not have a spray product in your kitchen. Assemble the grinder to keep all the parts safely together and cover with a cloth or plastic cover to keep-out dust. Do not use a dishwasher to clean your grinder!

Run bread through the grinder. Even if you use lean meat, a grinder can become greasy. Washing with soap and water may not remove all the grease and meat. A simple technique helping to remove grease is running a few slices of bread through the grinder. The bread cleans grease & meat stuck in the grinder.

Dry thoroughly as is important to dry each piece of the meat grinder by hand. Allowing the pieces to air dry could cause them to become rusty. After you clean all the pieces, take a dry towel and dry each piece by hand before you store it.

Store accessories in a zip top bag with rice. The blades and any other small accessories store safely in a zip top bag along with rice. The rice absorbs moisture that prevents rust. Store the grinder in a safe dry area. If moisture concerns you, store the unit in a plastic storage container surrounded by rice.  Delicious Save this on Delicious
